In Elder Scrolls Online, there are various Group Dungeons that can put both novice and veteran players to the test, and these are the greatest ones to do.
The various Group Dungeons are among the most enjoyable and demanding activities in The Elder Scrolls Online. Players join a squad of three with a healer, a tank, and two DPS builds and slice their way through massive groups of opponents, taking down formidable bosses along the way.
The Elder Scrolls: Online offers a plethora of Group Dungeons for players to put their skills to the test, delivering challenge and delight even for veteran gamers. Every dungeon is worth exploring, but some stand out from the crowd owing to their distinct environment, exciting bosses, and intriguing features.
City Of Ash 1 & 2
The fascinating environment of these two dungeons will keep players coming back for more. The dungeon confronts players against Oblivion’s armies, who have overrun a Bosmer tree city made of massive graht-oaks. The city, which is nearly completely composed of wood, is on fire, making for an exciting battle against the Daedric hordes.
In the second edition of the dungeon, the tide turns. This time, players journey into the Deadlands, Mehrunes Dagon’s searing, lifeless wasteland, and must fight their way across it to save an elf’s wife.
Blessed Crucible
The Blessed Crucible is a gladiatorial arena set in a Daedric ruin that is encircled by molten lava. To win the tournament, players must combat waves of adversaries, but everything goes wrong when the group is accused of cheating when certain potions are tossed into the arena to aid the group.
Players must then fight their way out of the Blessed Crucible, encountering countless monsters and waves of opponents until becoming its Champion in a final flaming battle against the Lava Queen – only then will they be free of the dungeon.
Blackheart Haven
This pirate-themed dungeon is set in a beautiful tropical cove, where a band of pirates is hiding out. Players must assist a pirate who wants to flee the group but first take certain mystical artefacts from the captain.
The captain is revealed to be a skeleton cursed by a covenant with Molag Bal. Players may be converted into skeletons during the final battle with Captain Blackheart!
Vaults Of Madness
Travel to Coldharbour to face the Vaults of Madness, the abode of the Mad Architect, a strong lich. To rescue the trapped souls of the Architect’s foes, players must weave their way through this mad maze.
The dungeon has a dramatic, seemingly-endless fall into a misty chasm, and the climactic confrontation against the Mad Architect promises several interesting components, including a spell in which he shatters every window in the area, showering lethal shards of glass on any player outside the shield.
White-Gold Tower
This dungeon acts as a sort of finale to Drift Boss game’s main quest path, and focuses around Molag Bal’s ultimate attempt to restart the Planemeld and finally capture Tamriel. Players must fight their way up the White-Gold Tower with Empress Regent Clivia Tharn to thwart the Daedric Prince – but there’s a catch.
White-Gold Tower plays concurrently with the Imperial City zone story, both of which are worthwhile after players have completed the main quest line, so they can finally put an end to the danger of Molag Bal.
Depths Of Malatar
The Wrathstone DLC pack included this group dungeon, which is a scary Ayleid ruin inhabited by Meridia worshippers. The Scavenging Maw, which is unlike most boss encounters in that it periodically vanishes before pursuing players in a maze-like storeroom and striking unexpectedly at one of the party, is one of the most terrifying bosses to face.
The last confrontation against the Symphony of Blades in the dungeon comprises two stages; once its health is dropped to 10%, it will take the group to Meridia’s plane of Oblivion for a violent finish.
Lair Of Maarselok
In this dungeon included by the Scalebreaker DLC pack, players must battle a powerful dragon who, backed by the forest spirit Selene, threatens to ruin the forests of Elsweyr and Valenwood with a horrible blight.
The Lair of Maarselok, unlike other dungeons, has only one boss: Maarselok. However, players must fight him three times, with each combat being distinct and presenting different challenges. He is ultimately defeated in a big battle atop his roost.
Selene’s Web
Selene was a Bosmer changeling and priestess to the spider-goddess Shagrath prior to her efforts to kill the dragon Maarselok, and she serves as the last monster of her own dungeon. Players assist a group of Mage’s Guild scholars in binding Selene’s spirit, but only after defeating her in a gruelling battle against her spider form.
However, once her spider form is killed, Selene transforms into a Bosmer, significantly more powerful and with roughly four times the health.
Falkreath Hold
Fans of Skyrim who want to relive their childhood will enjoy this dungeon, which is set in the city of Falkreath. It is part of the Horns of the Reach DLC pack and revolves around a Reachmen invasion of the city commanded by the minotaur Domihaus the Bloody-Horned.
To stop the onslaught, players must fight their way through the blazing city, passing through the streets and the Hall of the Dead until arriving at the Jarl’s Hall, where Domihaus makes a dramatic entry. In an homage to Skyrim, the player gets dubbed Thane of Falkreath after beating him!
Coral Aerie
The Ascending Tide DLC pack included this lovely dungeon, which is worth visiting just for the scenery. The dungeon depicts the splendour of the Summerset Isles, including breathtaking beaches and lagoons, as well as magnificent Aldmeri ruins.
The location is a refreshing spot to battle Ascendants and coral monsters. The dungeon also has a unique boss fight in which the group is periodically stuck in a huge whirlpool, risking splitting up and being picked out one by one by yaghras.
The Elder Scrolls Online is available for PC, PS4 and 5, Xbox One, and Series X/S consoles.
